FORMAL APOLOGY

I published an article about a player that I said was formally on the Xpress football team, and that this particular player had signed to play with the Texas Seminoles, well the information that I had received about Mr. Sarpy we all know him as Q.was wrong, my article stated that he had signed with the Texas Seminoles, I stated in a recent article that any information that I publish, if it is wrong information to give me a call, and if the info you have is correct then I would change the article and that I would issue a formal apology for the false information I had written to the DFW Xpress readers and about the individual in question. Mr. Sarpy called me on 12/10/09 and we had a long conversation about info that I had written. Mr. Sarpy informed me that he had not signed with the Seminoles an that the info I had received was wrong, he however let me know that he did practice with the Seminoles for 1 practice, his reasoning, was because several of his High School class mates were with that club. We talked about his up hill battle getting on the field for the 2010 season, and I explained to him what was meant by that comment was his lack of practice participation, that lead the coaching staff and I to believe it would be an up hill battle for him because the other LB's would be far ahead of him in the defensive scheme. In the end Mr. Sarpy and I came to an agreement and he will be returning to practice on Monday 12/12/09. I WANT TO APOLOGIZE TO Mr. Sarpy for the wrong information that I had written about him leaving the team, when in reality he had to take care of some personal issues.
